How SMS Notifications Work

When a customer message arrives, you’ll get a text like:

New message from Maria on Facebook: “What time do you close today?”

AI Draft: “Hi Maria! We close at 8pm today. See you soon!”

Reply 1 to send, 2 to skip, or type your own response.

WhatsApp Setup

  1. Go to Business Settings > Notification Channel.
  2. Select WhatsApp.
  3. Enter your WhatsApp phone number.
  4. You’ll receive a confirmation message on WhatsApp.

Telegram Setup

  1. Go to Business Settings > Notification Channel.
  2. Select Telegram.
  3. Click the link or scan the QR code to open the Dashi bot in Telegram.
  4. Press Start in the Telegram chat.
  5. Your account is linked automatically.

Why Telegram?

Telegram is completely free with no message limits. You don’t need to share your phone number with Dashi. It’s a great option if you want to keep things simple.

Switching Channels

You can change your notification channel at any time:

  1. Go to Business Settings > Notification Channel.
  2. Select a different channel.
  3. Complete the setup for the new channel.
  4. Dashi immediately starts sending notifications to the new channel.

Notification Timing

  • Dashi batches rapid-fire messages from the same customer (within ~10 seconds) into a single draft to avoid spamming you.
  • If you don’t respond to a notification within 8 hours, it expires automatically.
  • You can disable notifications entirely from Business Settings if you prefer to use the dashboard only.
