Business Assistant
جدول المحتويات
The Business Assistant is an AI chat that helps you manage your business information hands-free. You can use it from the dashboard or directly from your notification channel (SMS, WhatsApp, or Telegram).
What the Assistant Can Do
- Update your knowledge base — “We now close at 9pm on Fridays”
- Add temporary notes — “Out of the matcha latte today”
- Remove temporary notes — “We have matcha again”
- Manage bookings — View upcoming bookings, add new ones, reschedule, or cancel
- Accept or reject KB suggestions — “Accept that suggestion about our new hours”
- Answer general questions — “What does my KB say about parking?”
Two Ways to Use the Assistant
From the Dashboard
- Go to your Dashboard.
- Click Edit with AI under the Knowledge Base section.
- Type your message naturally — the AI understands context and intent.
The chat appears on the left side. On desktop, the right side shows a live preview of your knowledge base and temporary notes, updating in real time as the AI makes changes.
The dashboard version also supports document and website uploads:
- Drag and drop a file (PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text, or images) into the chat.
- Paste a website URL and ask the assistant to extract business info.
From Your Phone (SMS / WhatsApp / Telegram)
You can also message the Business Assistant directly through your notification channel — the same one you use to approve customer message drafts. Just send a text to the Dashi number or bot, and the assistant responds.
This is great for quick updates on the go, like telling Dashi you’re closing early or out of a menu item. File uploads and voice notes are not currently supported via the notification channel.
Examples
Updating business info:
You: “We added a new service — gel nails for $45” Assistant: Updates your knowledge base with the new service and price.
Temporary situation:
You: “We’re closed next Monday for a holiday” Assistant: Adds a temporary note. It won’t modify your permanent hours.
Booking management:
You: “What bookings do I have tomorrow?” Assistant: Lists your upcoming bookings for tomorrow.
You: “Book a table for 4 at 7pm Friday for the Nguyen family” Assistant: Checks availability, creates the booking, and confirms.
You: “Reschedule the Nguyen booking to Saturday” Assistant: Moves the booking and confirms the new time.
You: “Cancel the 3pm haircut” Assistant: Cancels the booking and confirms.
Asking a question:
You: “What are my hours on Saturday?” Assistant: Reads your KB and tells you your Saturday hours.
How It Works
The assistant uses AI tool-calling to decide what action to take. When you say “we close at 9pm now,” it:
- Recognizes this as a permanent business fact
- Updates your knowledge base with the new information
- Confirms the change
You don’t need to use specific commands or formatting — just talk naturally.
Tips
- Be specific — “Haircut is now $25” is better than “we changed our prices.”
- Use it on the go — Message the assistant via WhatsApp or Telegram for quick updates without opening the dashboard.
- Use the dashboard for uploads — When you need to upload documents or paste URLs, use the dashboard version.
- Review changes — After the assistant updates your KB, glance at the preview panel or check Business Settings to make sure everything looks right.
